Ultimate Photogrammetry Course — 3D Art Tutorial | FastTrackTutorials

This advanced photogrammetry course spans over 10 hours of real-time video instruction led by Emiel Sleegers, a lead environment artist with 13+ years of AAA game industry experience. The course covers multiple workflows for creating photo-scanned content, including vertical surface scanning with professional cameras and gimbals, ground surface scanning with specialized rigs, and techniques for capturing organic and urban objects. Additional chapters address photometric stereo scanning for foliage, turntable scanning for small to medium objects, complete tree scanning and processing pipelines, and mobile device scanning methods that compare smartphone results to DSLR equipment.

The curriculum is structured across 46 videos organized into logical, numbered chapters for easy navigation, with auto-generated subtitles available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Source files are included with the course, though they represent a large dataset and are not required to follow along with the lessons. The instruction assumes familiarity with foundational software concepts but caters to all skill levels, demonstrating both real-world scanning techniques and post-processing workflows for game and film production. Topics include software like 3DS Max, Maya, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Blender, and Unity.
