About this item
Real Time Soft Body Collision is a procedural Geometry Nodes system for Blender that simulates soft-body deformation without traditional baking. Objects react to colliders with organic compression and surface deformation in real time, letting you preview and animate effects directly in the viewport. The system uses a non-destructive workflow where you simply place collider objects in a collection, select that collection in the modifier, and adjust the exposed controls.
The asset supports multiple colliders through collections and provides intuitive parameters for fine-tuning the effect. Pressure Scale controls volume retention and softness, Margin sets the collision detection distance, Strength controls deformation intensity, and Falloff Distance determines how far deformation spreads from contact points. Additional controls include Smooth Position for organic results, Ray Limit Scale for different scene scales, and Collision Mode to define interaction behavior. All settings are accessible directly in the modifier panel without needing to enter the Geometry Nodes editor.
This system works well for rubber, foam, cushions, inflatable objects, soft product packaging, stylized deformation, and satisfying motion graphics effects. For best results, apply the scale of your deformable object, use a sufficiently dense and evenly distributed mesh, and place all colliders in a dedicated collection before adjusting parameters to achieve your desired response.
