Insect Swarm – Procedural Insect Systems
Overview
This Blender course teaches you how to build procedurally generated insect swarms using Geometry Nodes. The system lets you create crawling insects, flying insects, and centipedes with realistic behavior and movement. Rather than manually modeling each creature, you work with a customizable node setup that generates insect populations dynamically within your scene.
The package includes 21 fully animated insect characters that you can deploy using the procedural system. By adjusting parameters within the node network, you control swarm density, insect types, animation styles, and spatial distribution. This approach makes it practical to populate scenes with living, moving insects without the tedious process of individual rigging and animation for each creature.
