Rigging Fundamentals LTS
Overview
This course teaches the fundamentals of rigging in Blender, focusing on how to enable 3D models to move in believable ways by creating relationships between objects and armature hierarchy systems. The instruction progresses from basic armature setup and bone extrusion through controller configuration and inverse kinematics constraints, building toward a complete lamp rig with multi-layered IK systems, spring automation, and head stabilization using location and look-at constraints.
The CG Fast Track teaching format combines video tutorials with screenshots, allowing you to click through each step rather than trying to keep pace with video playback. This approach makes the learning process more intuitive and self-paced. The course culminates in practical animation work, including testing the rig with a stylized jump animation, squash-and-stretch motion, and applying cinematic lighting and compositing techniques to your final scene.
