Description
# Creating Art Tools using Blender Geometry Nodes
This course teaches you how to create procedural art tools in Blender that streamline environment production workflows. Instructor Kobus Viljoen, a 3D environment artist at FastTrack Studio, guides you through building multiple tools—including a trash scattering tool and others—designed to accelerate iteration on 3D environments. The course covers over 11.5 hours of real-time, narrated instruction with all source files provided, so you can follow along at your own pace without needing to model assets from scratch.
The tutorial is structured in nine chapters that build progressively from fundamentals to advanced techniques. You’ll begin with geometry nodes basics in Blender 3.5, then create individual tools in order of difficulty. The final chapters demonstrate how to bridge Blender and Unreal Engine using Altermesh, making your procedural tools available as interactive inputs within UE5. A complete demo city project in Unreal Engine 5.2 showcases real-world use cases for the tools you’ve built.
This course is suited for beginner to intermediate artists who already have basic Blender knowledge, including familiarity with modeling and texture creation. Subtitles are available in English, Chinese, and Spanish. A personal license is available for individual artists, with membership and commercial licensing options also offered.
