The Art of Effective Rigging 2
Overview
AOER² is an extensive Blender rigging course designed for beginners through advanced riggers. While no prior rigging experience is required, you should be comfortable navigating Blender’s interface, base tools, and general workflow. The course progresses from fundamental rigging concepts to high-end character rigging techniques, with lessons optimized for Blender 3.6x LTS, 4.x, and 5.x versions.
The curriculum covers essential rigging foundations including inverse kinematics for limbs, skeletal hierarchy setup, and weight painting techniques. You’ll build practical skills through project-based lessons, such as creating a foldable spider robot and developing sophisticated character rigs with custom properties, switchable parent systems, and automated mechanical rigs like neck pistons and torso plates. Advanced topics include scripting for custom rig interfaces, helper bones for muscle deformations, and the "look at" function for head orientation.
Course materials include full PDF documentation with lesson highlights and keyboard shortcuts, plus high-quality character files optimized to run on standard PCs. You receive lifetime access with free content updates as new lessons are added, and no subscription renewal is required.
